What Does the Code on an Egg Mean?
The numbers and letters on the shell show the farming method, the country and the producer.
The code on the eggshell and pack makes the product traceable.
First digit: farming method
- 0 – Organic
- 1 – Free range
- 2 – Barn
- 3 – Cage
Country code and farm number
TR shows the country of production; the number that follows shows the province code and the farm registration number. Etaş’s producer code is TR 38-0108.
